Why is it that when you tell people that you can code, they tend to associate you with Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler?
I’m not trying to offend anyone but why can’t people think of Karlie Kloss when one thinks of computer programming?
She is more than just a friend of Taylor Swift; Karlie Kloss has no problem standing on her own as a #girlboss.
At the age of 14, her photograph stunned the editorial rooms of Scene Magazine Chicago and Elite New York.
From then on, the runway is like her second home. With her unique runway walk known as the “moody gait”, Karlie once championed 64 shows within a season. That’s girl power right there.
To the industry, Karlie’s professionalism is as firm as the way she walks; passionate and was always worth endorsing.
On top of modelling, people also know of Karlie Kloss because of her high profile friendship with Taylor Swift.
It all started two years ago when the duo appeared on the cover of American Vogue.
Subsequently, Karlie was also on Swift’s music video before being live on stage during Swift’s 1989 World Tour which took place in London. However, recent rumours had indicated that the pair might have fallen apart.
Nevertheless, this does not seem to affect Karlie at all.
Last May, Karlie replaced Miranda Kerr as the new face of Swarovski.
This year, she will be back on the Victoria’s Secret show to continue her modelling legacy between the years of 2011 and 2014.
Other than her work and her friendships, Karlie is also active in charity work.
Her recipe “Karlie’s Kookies” was sold during Fashion’s Night Out in New York, raising funds for children who face hunger around the world.
Moreover, Karlie is also a computer wiz. Her enthusiasm has led her to start “Kode with Klossy”, a programme which offers training and scholarships for girls who want to get into the field of computer and software engineering.
After all, what else is left to say here? That is to love what you do and do what you love.
Whether it is modelling, coding or standing in for your best friend, Karlie does everything with pride.
Most importantly, she does everything with a smile.
